Not much to say today except I am beginning an "experiment" in parenting - common sense 101 - Clear Expectations and Immediate Consequences. I've heard this for years, but all of a sudden it's like I've had a light bulb moment. Wisdom is knowledge that has been applied - Lord, please let this be some of that! The hope is that a system of clearly stated expectations alongside a clearly stated set of consequences for unmet expectations and responsibilities, will lead to a lot less of me running my mouth, nagging, etc, and more action and peace...emphasis on the peace. I won't nag and if things don't get done, fine - the consequences will do the talking...my vocal chords and my nerves (along with everyone else's) are worn out.
I just ran across this verse in Proverbs that made me laugh:
Proverbs 17:1
"Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting—and conflict."
I think we can all relate. That's all.
